We have a showroom at 7949 Atlantic Blvd, Suite 106 in Jacksonville, and you are welcome to come look at what we carry before you commit to anything.
Visits are by appointment, on purpose. It means the showroom is yours for as long as you need it and someone who lays floors for a living sits down with you, instead of you competing for attention on a busy sales floor.

About Mr. Wright Flooring

What started as a way to provide employment for family members has turned into a way to bond, mature and share a passion in the flooring community. Marquis Wright has run Mr. Wright Flooring in Jacksonville since 2012, and it is still the family business it began as.
We handle the whole job — old floor out and hauled away, subfloor flattened and prepared, new floor in, cleaned up as we go. One crew, one supervising team leader, one finished floor. Our craftsmen and office staff will answer questions about an upcoming, ongoing or finished project.

Yes, and most homeowners only find out when a claim is denied. Flooring manufacturers publish installation guidelines covering moisture limits, acclimation, expansion gaps and subfloor tolerances, and a warranty claim gets rejected when the install did not follow them. Every project we take on is supervised by an experienced team leader whose job is to keep the work inside those guidelines.
Yes. If you have already bought your material — from a big-box store, an online supplier or anywhere else — we will install it to the same standard as material bought through us, and inside the manufacturer's warranty guidelines. You are never required to buy your flooring from us to hire our crews.
Hardwood, engineered hardwood, laminate, luxury vinyl plank, tile and carpet. We install all six across Northeast Florida, and we also take install-only work on material you supply yourself.
Yes. Installation work carries a one-year warranty. It runs from the installation date. Buy the floor from us as well and that becomes 2 years, and the material is covered for 2 years instead of 1 year. The manufacturer's own warranty on the product is separate. It stays valid only when the floor is installed to their published guidelines.

Yes, when the slab is properly prepared. The National Wood Flooring Association says both solid and engineered wood floors can go over concrete that has been prepared for the wood, following the flooring manufacturer's moisture testing and limits. Most Northeast Florida homes are slab-on-grade, so those limits matter. For its own products, Mohawk says its engineered hardwood can be installed over most concrete slabs, and it excludes its solid hardwood, except 3/8-inch solid products glued down with Mohawk's approved glue and sealant system. We test the slab first and tell you what it will carry rather than selling you the product with the better margin.
Almost every failure we get called out to fix traces back to what was under the floor, not the floor itself. High and low spots telegraph through the finished surface, cause hollow spots underfoot, and open seams and peaking edges as the material moves. Manufacturers publish a flatness tolerance for exactly this reason. We flatten the subfloor and test it before any material goes down, which is the step most quotes leave out.
