Carpet
Cut pile, loop and patterned carpet over quality cushion, power-stretched so it does not ripple in a year.
Carpet is still the right answer for bedrooms, stairs, media rooms and anywhere you want the floor to be quiet and warm underfoot. How long it looks good comes down to two things people rarely ask about: the cushion underneath, and whether it was power-stretched in rather than just kicked into place. We do both properly, because a rippled carpet two years in is an installation failure, not normal wear.
What Our Clients Say
Unedited reviews from Northeast Florida homeowners. We hold a 5.0 rating across 40 Google reviews — the highest of any flooring company in the local market.
Why Choose Carpet
Choosing carpet that suits the room
Fibre and construction decide how a carpet ages. Cut pile is soft and shows footprints; loop and patterned constructions hide traffic far better and suit hallways and stairs. Density matters more than pile height for durability — a dense, shorter pile will outlast a plush one in a busy room every time. We will ask how the room gets used, whether there are pets, and whether anyone in the house has allergies, and recommend from there rather than from a sample board.
- Cut pile, loop, patterned and textured constructions
- Stain-resistant fibre systems for family rooms and stairs
- Density and twist matched to the room's real traffic
- Colour and texture selected against your existing hard flooring

Cushion and stretch — the parts nobody sees
The cushion under a carpet does most of the work in how it feels and how long it lasts, and it is the first thing a cheap quote cuts. Too soft and the carpet backing flexes until it breaks down; correctly specified and the same carpet lasts years longer. Installation matters just as much: carpet needs to be power-stretched across the room and secured properly at the tack strip. A carpet that was knee-kicked in will relax and ripple, usually within the first couple of years, and re-stretching it later costs money that the original install should have covered.
- Cushion specified for the carpet and the traffic, not defaulted
- Power-stretched installation, not knee-kicked
- Seams planned to fall away from sightlines and traffic paths
- Careful stair work with proper wrapping and fastening
The Advantages of Professional Carpet
Our Carpet Process
Free in-home estimate
We come out, measure the actual rooms, and look at what is under your current floor. Measuring off a floor plan is how jobs end up short on material.
Moisture and subfloor check
We test the slab or subfloor for moisture and check it for flatness before anything is ordered. In this climate that reading decides which products are safe to install.
Written estimate
You get the material, the labor, the removal and haul-away, and the prep work itemized — so you can see what you are paying for and compare it honestly.
Removal and subfloor prep
Old flooring comes out and leaves with us. We flatten and prepare the subfloor first, because every flooring failure we get called to fix started underneath.
Installation and walkthrough
Our craftsmen install, clean up as they go, and walk the finished floor with you before the crew leaves.

Carpet — Frequently Asked Questions
It was almost certainly not power-stretched during installation. Carpet installed with a knee kicker alone relaxes over time and buckles, and Florida humidity accelerates it. It can be re-stretched, and doing so is worth it before the ripples wear into permanent creases.
More than most people expect. The cushion controls how the carpet feels and how well the backing survives daily flexing. Under-specifying it is the easiest way to make a quote look cheaper and the fastest way to shorten the life of the carpet.
A dense, low-profile loop or textured construction in a solution-dyed fibre. Loop resists crushing in traffic paths, and solution-dyed fibre takes cleaning without losing colour. We will also talk to you honestly about whether carpet is the right call for the specific room.
Yes. Stairs are the most demanding carpet work there is — every tread and riser is a separate fitting and the fastening has to be right, because a loose stair carpet is a genuine safety issue.
Yes. Bedrooms and media rooms are among the most common jobs we do, often alongside hard flooring elsewhere in the same house.
