SmartStrand and EverStrand from Mohawk
We're an authorized Mohawk retailer, and our carpet lines are SmartStrand and EverStrand. Mohawk aims SmartStrand at busy homes with kids and pets. It's made with Mohawk's SmartStrand Triexta fibers, and Mohawk says its cleanability and durability are built in and proven to perform for years.
EverStrand starts out as plastic bottles. Mohawk gathers and cleans them, then turns them into PET fibers using a patented method it calls the Continuum process. The result, according to Mohawk, is a fiber that feels soft underfoot and is easy to maintain.
Mohawk lists each carpet's warranties on the back of its sample in the store, so you can compare before you pick.
Installed the way Mohawk asks
Mohawk puts installation on the same level as the carpet itself. Its carpet warranty brochure calls for a professional installer and says good installation counts as much as the carpet's quality and durability. For its warranty, Mohawk also wants the carpet laid over a cushion that meets its minimums.
That's the standard we work to, with a team leader overseeing each carpet job so it stays within the manufacturer's warranty guidelines. Our own installation warranty then covers the work. Buy the carpet from us and have us install it, and you get 2 years on material and 2 years on labor. Supply the carpet yourself, and it's 1 year on material and 1 year on labor from the installation date.
