Engineered wood for Orange Park, on the St. Johns River and Doctors Lake
Orange Park is a waterfront town. Its boundary reaches into Doctors Lake, follows the lake shore east to the St. Johns River, then runs north along the river.
Mohawk says its engineered hardwood is made to be dimensionally stable. Its TecWood instructions also carry a note for coastal and waterfront areas: keep humidity at a proper level with an air conditioner or a dehumidifier.

What engineered hardwood is, and what TecWood brings
Engineered hardwood is real wood. Instead of one solid piece from top to bottom, it's built from several layers of wood veneer or a lumber core bonded together, and the top layer gives the floor its look.
We're an authorized Mohawk retailer and carry TecWood, Mohawk's engineered hardwood. Mohawk likes to point out that no two trees are alike, and no two TecWood floors are either.
Mohawk covers the floor, and we cover the installation
Mohawk's warranty on TecWood applies when the floor is installed according to Mohawk's written instructions, and those are the instructions we work to. Because Mohawk's wood warranties don't extend to installer workmanship, our own warranty covers the work: 2 years on material and 2 years on labor when you buy the floor from us and we install it, or 1 year on material and 1 year on labor from the installation date when you supply it.
An experienced team leader runs every job and keeps the work inside the manufacturer's warranty guidelines.

Buying engineered hardwood from us
Buy TecWood from us and we'll install it. Bring us engineered hardwood you bought somewhere else and we'll install that. Or buy from us and do the installation yourself or with your own crew. Every option begins with a free estimate and in-home measure, and our Jacksonville showroom at 7949 Atlantic Blvd, Suite 106, is open by appointment when you want to see the wood in person.
How a Engineered Hardwood Flooring Job Runs
No surprises and no pressure. Here is exactly what happens, in the order it happens.
Free in-home estimate
We come out, measure the actual rooms, and look at what is under your current floor. Measuring off a floor plan is how jobs end up short on material.
Moisture and subfloor check
We test the slab or subfloor for moisture and check it for flatness before anything is ordered. In this climate that reading decides which products are safe to install.
Written estimate
You get the material, the labor, the removal and haul-away, and the prep work itemized — so you can see what you are paying for and compare it honestly.
