RevWood comes to you through us as an authorized Mohawk retailer. Mohawk makes it in the USA and describes it as premium laminated wood flooring. How it handles water depends on the version. Damage from everyday household spills, pet accidents, and steam, wet or damp mopping falls under Mohawk's WetProtect warranty on RevWood Plus and RevWood Premier. Mohawk says RevWood Select will stand up to moisture from damp or wet mopping and gives it a Waterproof warranty, while RevWood Essentials has a Wet Resistance warranty.
Then there's Pergo, another brand in the Mohawk Industries lineup, whose range takes in laminate and luxury vinyl floors.
How we install and warrant laminate
Mohawk's RevWood warranty applies when the floor is installed to Mohawk's written instructions, and full wet-warranty coverage also calls for the floor's perimeter to be sealed as those instructions describe. Mohawk's brochure notes that its warranties don't reach installer workmanship, and our installation warranty is written for exactly that work. For laminate we supply and install, it runs 2 years on material and 2 years on labor. If the laminate is yours, it runs 1 year on material and 1 year on labor, starting on the installation date.
Mohawk's RevWood instructions also call for blending planks from several cartons as the floor goes down, for a good mix of color and shade. A team leader supervises every job to keep the work inside the manufacturer's warranty guidelines.
