Wood floors for St. Augustine's old and new homes
St. Augustine was founded in 1565 and is the oldest continuously occupied European settlement in the continental United States. Of the city's 8,715 homes, about a quarter were built before 1940.
Older house or newer one, hardwood puts real wood underfoot, and we take care of the whole job, from pulling up the existing floor to installing its replacement.

Mohawk TecWood, or hardwood you already have
As an authorized Mohawk retailer, we sell TecWood, Mohawk's engineered hardwood line. Mohawk puts it simply: "Like every tree is unique, so is every TecWood engineered hardwood floor."
If you bought hardwood from another store, we install that too.
Mohawk's instructions, and our warranty on the install
Mohawk's wood warranty covers TecWood when it is installed according to Mohawk's written instructions. Mohawk's warranty brochure also says those warranties do not extend to installer workmanship, and that is the part our installation warranty covers. When we supply and install your hardwood, it runs 2 years on material and 2 years on labor. When we install hardwood you supplied, it runs 1 year on material and 1 year on labor from the installation date.
Before installation, Mohawk wood floors need at least 72 hours in the home with the air conditioning and heat already running and the windows and building shell complete, so the wood's moisture content can adjust to normal living conditions. A team leader supervises every job and keeps the work inside the manufacturer's warranty guidelines.

Supply, install or both
There are three ways to get a hardwood floor from us. We can supply it and install it. We can install hardwood you purchased from another seller. Or you can buy the hardwood here and put it down yourself or with your own crew. Estimates and in-home measures are free, and showroom visits at 7949 Atlantic Blvd, Suite 106, in Jacksonville are by appointment.
How a Hardwood Flooring Job Runs
No surprises and no pressure. Here is exactly what happens, in the order it happens.
Free in-home estimate
We come out, measure the actual rooms, and look at what is under your current floor. Measuring off a floor plan is how jobs end up short on material.
Moisture and subfloor check
We test the slab or subfloor for moisture and check it for flatness before anything is ordered. In this climate that reading decides which products are safe to install.
Written estimate
You get the material, the labor, the removal and haul-away, and the prep work itemized — so you can see what you are paying for and compare it honestly.
